Yay for pro-BFing ads

Just saw this on a bus stop in my neighborhood this morning, sponsored by the NYC Department of Health. The text on it reads, in Spanish, "Nurse," "For my baby's good, for my own." (That's literal, if I were doing my creative work as a translator, I would probably say "good for my baby, good for me" or "for my baby's health and mine.") There's also a link to the dept. of health website.

they've started running ads for the Texas WIC campaign on local networks: https://www.breastmilkcounts.com/our-new-campaign.html. there's a CD of lullabies (most about nursing) you can download at their site.

Very cool! My dad saw one on TV last week. I forget exactly, but part of it was about "oh and I lost the baby weight by BFing too!" which basically made me feel like crap. Because I actually weigh more than I did 10 days pp. Somehow I dropped an insane amount of weight immediately. I don't think I was really eating that first week or so home.
