1st Birthday party ideas...

I'm trying to figure out what I should do for DS's 1st birthday. We have the location rented already and the guestlist (about 96 - including 20 kids under 10). These are the only themes I can come up with...

football (big football family here)

circus,

polka dots

????

 but would really like to do something more unique. What are you doing or have you seen/heard of any really unique ideas? TIA

    Pretty sure for DD we are doing purple hippos...maybe some pink ones too. Surprise There's just this thing with hippos in my family. lol

    We are doing Rocket Ships. Trying to come up with a cute saying to put throughout the party.

    My husband and I have a HUGE (and close) family. I alone have 18 first aunt and uncles and 27 first cousins!!!! Holidays are rediculous

    I have 30 first cousins Wink

    We are trying to keep DS's birthday to 60 people and are doing a Dr. Seuss/Cat in the Hat theme.
