  I can't say I've ever done that.

  I have to get the toaster out each time too, but I can't imagine the microwave really saves that much time. It takes about 2 minutes for me to get the toaster out and toast the waffle.

  Ditto. The thought of a wet, soggy waffle makes me gag. I like it super crisp.

  he'll chew onthem frozen, but I microwave them every day. I really don;t care. 20-30sec depending on how many I am making.
