3rd Trimester

Wisdom Anyone? Please share yours

As you all know the "Elder's" of this board will be leaving soon...whatever shall the young'uns coming in do without our wisdom? I am proposing that this thread be a complete list of things they need to know before we all head over and ruin the 0-3 board....Please take a moment to read and then add your wisdom...

Waxing your vag during 3T will cause you to have a bald baby if the baby has dropped and is head down. Please wax before this happens.

    As will squeezing.

  • If you're bleeding bright, red blood, it's probably not of any concern and you should just drink a beer to calm your nerves.

  • All baby products will be recalled at one point or another.  Start making any and all things you will need for your baby now before it's too late.

But post a picture first, please.

  • If you think you should call your doctor about something, why bother? Just ask on the bump instead!

  • cramping and bleeding are normal.   If you are doubting, just ask the bump.  Don't call your Dr with that stupid question.

Remember to cheat on your GD test.

  • There is no such thing as a stupid question!  And answers change frequently, so even if another poster just asked an identical question, you'll need to ask it again, just in case!

  • I'm sure I'm not an "elder," but my best advice would be to pack lots of "super plus" tampons in your hospital bag.  The hospital will charge you $25 per pad and your insurance will  NOT cover it.  And pads are gross... you just need lots and lots of tampons.  May need to use 3 or 4 at once since you'll be bleeding so much after delivery.

    Yes
  • If whoever is planning your shower isn't doing what you want them to do, just take it over from the lazy biitch and change everything--or just throw your own!

And if you don't like the presents you get, you don't have to send thank yous. Just be sure to ask for the original receipts with prices listed on them so that you can make sure the store gives you proper credit.

  • Do an enema every day the week before your scheduled induction or c-section. Your a-hole is not the only place your poop can come out of, and enemas keep you from pushing as hard when you do have to go so you dont pop the kid out in the crapper.

It is perfectly acceptable to assign gifts for your baby shower guests to buy for baby, and a much appreciated deviation from having to register for things.

Is that in the bump glossary?  I must have missed it!

We established this among all the 2T madness.
