3rd Trimester

How are you managing your hip pain?

My left hip has been bothering me off and on for a week or so. I'm going in on Monday and asking the doctor about it. Last night it was unbearable. There was no comfort in any position or number of pillows. It only goes away if I sit down. I took Tylenol PM it did nothing except make me sleepy. I read it has to do with the body releasing chemicals to make your joints stretchy and help with L&D. Everything I've researched online says it goes away after delivery, but I have 8-9 weeks to go... Re: How are you managing your hip pain?

  • Make friends with a chiropractor. I had back pain since my spine was out of position to the point where I couldnt sleep or do a load of laundry. After a month of going I'm completely pain free. It was worth every penny we spent since my insurance sucks and didnt cover it 100%.

  • I'm pretty much laying around as much as possible. It's the only thing that's helped my sciatica.

  • I <3 my chiropractor. My hips have been a struggle all pregnancy. I also broke my pelvis in 5 places four years ago.

I'm also going to be using Shrinkx Hips for extra support after delivery:
