My LO is protective of his space!

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this. There is one particular spot on my belly that if I place my arm or hand on and he is awake, he will either kick or punch at it (he has kicked/punched in response to my husband several times). I have also noticed if I lay on my right side and a pillow or anything else is in that area he will wiggle around in response to the light pressure. And just a couple of days ago, I had a book resting below my belly there was a stack of papers on top of the book (in the same spot that he likes to kick) and he kicked the papers! It was the strangest thing I have ever seen. 

I hope he isn't too compressed or something in there.

    Yep.. Same deal with my LO. If I rest the remote or something there she kicks or punches it. It makes me laugh every time.. or if I lean forward at my desk and my belly presses against the keyboard tray she kicks away. If i switch sides in the night it seems like she has to readjust and get comfy too.

    Oh yes. ANYTHING on my belly and she kicks like crazy. I wonder if it's the pressure on her or she feels like her space is being invaded. I keep telling her to enjoy the space she has now because it's only going to get worse! Smile

    Yup, same here. My little girl always kicks/hits the doppler wand when I put it there to check her HB and at appointments. It's pretty funny to see and feel them react to things.

    Just two things my LO dislikes....THE SEATBELT (which I tell him sorry for but we must remain safe) and DH's hand!!  Anytime DH puts his hand on my belly my little LO gets all kung fu ninja on him!!  :)
