I just need to whine for a minute...

We sent Riley to daycare today because she's now fever-free and her conjunctivitis is clearing up (she's been out all week). Still has cold symptoms but since it started on Saturday, daycare is okay with her being there. DH and I really can't take any more days off of work to be with her. I just feel terrible and wish I was home with her! She is only eating 2 ounces at a time because she's so congested, and daycare isn't allowed to give her saline spray or use the bulb thing on her nose (her teacher said she will use the bulb thing anyway so that she will eat). I just called and she's been sleeping for an hour and a half... but still! I just wish I was home with my sick baby. And to top if off, I think I caught her cold! :(

    I'm so sorry to hear that you've caught her cold, but glad to hear that Riley's fever is gone and is starting to feel better.  Annika hasn't been sick yet, but I just know I'd feel the same way you're feeling now.  But hang in there - she sounds like she's in good hands, and the day will be over before you know it!

    I'm glad she's feeling better but I don't blame you for wishing you could be with her.  At least tomorrow's Friday!

    On another note: H has had a cold too. I finally broke down and purchased the Nose Frida (the bulb was just not cutting it and he was fighting it big time). Well..... the Nose Friday gets so much gunk out and he no longer has a stuffy/runny nose. I saw immediate results. Best $15.00 I have spent in a long time.

    Amazon.com. It took 3-5 days to get here, but I figured that I would probably be using it all winter long. You use your own lungs/air for the suction and the plastic piece that is used to suck up the gunk doesn't go passed their nostril. It has a really long plastic bendable tube that he likes to play with while I'm doing it. It takes a lot of lung strength, but no harm in exercising my lungs while I help him out, right? Oh and there is no way that the gunk gets to your mouth. There is a filter and it has only gotten halfway up anyway.

    Great idea! I do still use the Saline drops (and actually use the misting drops - same brand just comes in a bottle that puts a mist up his nose instead of a drop). I use it to thin everything out before I use the Nose Friday.
