with clothes or a room since you don't know if the baby is a boy or girl?" A client asks me today with a cringe.
You got it lady! My child will be naked and will be sleep in a box in the garage for probably the first week because God forbid I have this baby wear or sleep in a room thats not blue or pink.
Re: "So you can't get prepared at all..
LOL, such a good point you have there!!
This exactly! lol
Oooh, I have an idea. Maybe you can swipe some of those paper drapes from the hospital room and fashion little paper outfits for the baby and pick up "I'm a boy/girl" stickers on the way home to festoon the paper gown.

We found out that we were having a girl and I still picked mostly gender neutral baby gear. I am of the opinion that just because a baby has a vagina does NOT mean that their nursery should look like a cotton candy machine exploded, lol! All of the major baby gear (i.e. stroller, carseat, swing, high chair) is gender neutral, and anything that was going to be in the common areas of the house was specifically chosen in colors that would blend.
In addition, our nursery is sage, yellow, white and chocolate brown with dark espresso colored wood furniture...completely gender neutral. As a result, the nursery looks stunning and elegant, but still very much a baby's room, and all of the gear can be used with baby #2!
Couldn't have said it better myself.
