If you have a video monitor...

Do you love it? Hate it? Even use it? Now that DD is sleeping longer stretches (knock on wood) and almost 15 lbs (hoss cat! ?), we're transitioning her to her crib. She's done really well, but I think I want to get a video monitor.

Any reviews/ recommendations??

    We use a video monitor by Summer Infant.  You can get one that comes with a handheld video unit as well.  I really like it, but one problem I had was that it can produce a lot of feedback and it interfered with our Angelcare monitor.  We had to stop using the Angelcare, but it hasn't been a problem - I can easily see her breathing on the screen.  I was super paranoid the first week we transitioned her to the crib and was watching the screen all night, but am better now!

    LOVE IT! We've been using the summer hand held video monitor for over 2 years with ds and we bought the same one for dd.

    We LOVE it! Didn't get it till second baby. We had $150 in gift cards after he was born and really didn't need much other than diapes, so we used a 20% coupon to BRU and with that and the gift cards, it only cost us $10! We have the summer infant one, I think it is called. Nice to see him and know some of his fusses are just fusses with eyes still closed so no need to go to him. Wish we would have had it with our first!

    Love it!  Use it whenever she's in the crib.  It gives me so much peice of mind used in conjunction with the Angelcare Motion monitor.  The video peice allows me to know if she's awake in there or just moving around so I don't go in unnecessarily & end up waking her.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

    We have this one and LOVE it.  I actually bought a second one because they were on sale at BRU and I use a camera in each of the kid's room and you can set each camera to a different channel and see both kids on the same handheld by switching channels.  It's awesome, we have wireless internet and port. phones and it is still very clear on both channels.

    I have one and I really like it. We have one by Safety 1st.  The only issue we have which you'll probably have with any of them is the battery life. The battery life on the hand held unit is not very long.

    We also have this one and with having twins I was able to have 2 video camera's and be able to see both babies one at a time.  It goes back and forth with 8 seconds of baby time.

    This is the one we have.  I really like it so far (two nights use).  They have it at both Babies R Us locations.

    We have the Summer Infant Day and Night monitor.  It is WONDERFUL!

    I honestly don't know if DH and I could live without it.  It saves us so many trips to our daughter's bedroom.  It also makes me feel better to not only be able to hear her in her crib, but to see her as well.

    Without I'm sure I would be in her room constantly throughout the night and NO ONE would be able to get any sleep. :)

    My advice:  GET ONE!
