I know, I know. I'm being ridiculous. I'm going to Vegas next weekend and I really really want to book a massage at my hotel (they have prenatal massages). I'm just.........you know.
A lot of places indicate that they do prenatal massage. You must come back and tell me where you go. I think I will be there right after you and a massage is on my agenda.

I've been getting them since 14 weeks. My doctor even recommended due to headaches. Ask your doctor, you also might need a note, a lot of places require that. If your doc says ok, ask for a note and enjoy your vaca!!!
I went to get a massage, and here's what I was told... As with anything, I think there's different opinions out there, so you may want to ask your dr.
-No massages during first tri
-After first tri, make sure it is a prenatal and as the PP indicated, drink lots of water. The reason it has to be a prenatal is that there are pressure points that can stimulate uterine contractions, and also, the massage person should know how to position you during the massage (lying on your back or stomach isn't really an option).
I had one a few weeks ago and now I wish I could get one weekly. It was amazing and I highly recommend that you book one on your vacation. It's worth every penny!

No massage first tri as pps have said. The spa I went to even told me they won't do it before first tri. I went about 2 weeks ago for the first time and it was heaven.

I also thought I read that you shouldn't get them in the 1st tri.
I'd check with your doctor just to be safe, if she says it's okay you may even want to get a note from her just in case.
Oy vey.
I don't think I'm going to get it now.......
