I need recommendations on what type of DVD player to get. Not necessarily the brand but a dual player vs. single. We borrowed one for a long trip we had and it came with a case to put it between the two seats in the back so both kids could watch it (although DS is too young for it). However, I'm wondering if getting a dual player is the better route to go. The problem we'll run into is eventually DD will be FF in her car seat and DD will still be RF in his car seat for as long as we can keep him this way. What do we in this situation? Will a dual DVD player work? We'll definitely be taking long road trips at least once or twice a year.

Re: Single vs. Dual DVD Player
A dual player *might* work with one child RF and the other FF, just depends on the length of the cables really. You should be able to make it work. You will NOT be able to make a single player work for both of them in that situation no matter what. So I really don't see why you would want a single player with 2 kids.
We only have one kid and have a dual player b/c I wanted something that fit flat against the back of the seat and didn't require some kind of bag to hang by. To me that's just an invitation to kick the player. So we just use the one side for now and one day when we have another hopefully it will still be working and we can use the other side. With ours you can only watch one movie on both screens, not sure if you can get something that plays 2 different movies like the pp suggested. But most single players don't hang flat on the back of the seat. Also, look for something with a remote.
