Surprise!

Sooooo today my students threw me a surprise baby shower! They had a few parents help them orchestrate of course but it was complete with decorations, favors, cake, punch and some very generous gifts. It was all I could do not to cry!  AND how 30 ten year old managed to keep quiet about this for almost 2 weeks I will never understand!!! I am truly blessed!

    That is about the cutest thing I've ever heard!  And I'm super impressed about the 10 year olds keeping quiet...My stepson was talking about how much he liked the baby section at Target and how cool he thought the mirror thing was (the one so you can look in your rearview mirror into the other mirror and see the baby).  So I'm assuming his mom got that for me from the kids...Still sweet, by my child cannot keep a secret to save his life!  Zip it!

    But, holy cow! You have 30 ten year-olds in the one class? Our Primary/Elementary class sizes are capped at 25 max, and a lot of people think that's too many. I had 24 last year and almost lost my mind.

    You must be one helluva teacher to manage that.

    Aww thanks! It's tough with so many bodies in one little room. We started the year with 31 plus an exchange student, but we're down to 30 now. There are 9 kids on the wait list for my grade level, so I will be at 30 all year no matter what. 25 kids would be AMAZING!!
