Can I just say I am jealous you guys have/go to dinner parties. I think the last one we had (besides holidays) was the year we got married, we had 2 couples over for New Years Eve dinner, since all our dh's had to work the next morning.

Can I just say I am jealous you guys have/go to dinner parties. I think the last one we had (besides holidays) was the year we got married, we had 2 couples over for New Years Eve dinner, since all our dh's had to work the next morning.
Our "dinner parties" are hotdogs, and burgers on the grill why kids run wild in the yard. We snack on chip and salsa.

It seems the easiest way with friends and family to catch up lately rather than go out somewhere for meals, with a few kids it gets a little crazy. DH LOVES to cook up a seafood feast so that is normally our go to meal. But Michelle's soup sounds pretty awesome too!

Pre-Baby, we had dinner parties at least once a quarter. My husband barely played pool on his pool table so I had him make a table topper and we dinner parties for 12 - was so fun! But I made him sell the table so we could have a usable family room again. I usually did a theme (Italian, Southern Comfort, etc.) and did large dishes and served family style.
