Anyones over 1 year old+ on Toddler formula/nutritional supplements?

DS pretty much gets all his food from Boost Plus (360 calories/oz).  He is 18 months.  He will not eat regular food to speak of.  Not more than 100 calories a day, if that.  The last meal he ate was about 2 weeks ago.  I know he can eat, but he won't.  Does anyone else have this?  He was FTT, but is now 3-5% or weight and 50-60% for height.  I know no other kids who are like this.  He can eat, but won't.

  • LO is on elecare bc he doesnt eat balanced foods yet and bc he has food allergies  He can eat....but has swallowing problems and problems with textures.  So, not the same situation as you...but we are still giving him formula.

  • DS just turned 3 and is still getting formula (through g-tube).  We were mixing it to 240 calories just like Pediasure (PS really stops him up) but we're going to be reducing the amount because he has started eating some.  He's on chemo, so the eating is really touch and go, plus he had a stroke and hasn't learned to chew! yet...  So yeah, there are others out here that have LOs still on formula.  I see lots of kids on formula at our hospital, especially the chemo patients.  Our feeding specialist said that it's hard to get kids under 5 to eat if they've ever had a problem with it, simply because they haven't developed "good" food memories yet.
