3rd Trimester

Nothing like a three hour long OB visit

I called about the flu shot and asked about a slowdown in movement.  Reassuring them I still felt 10 in an hour, it just took longer than normal, I was still told to come in for a NST.

They hooked me up and the little turd kept moving away so they couldn't get a consistent tracing.  Then they sent me for a BPP U/S.

So the good news:  He's perfectly healthy (just mellow and stubborn).  He's still a he.  He's head down.

The bad news:  I spent three hours (needlessly) in the OB office.  He's freaking Head Down!  Um, hello---I refuse to believe I'm almost 32 weeks, let alone for him to be head down already.  WTF.

He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

  • they informed me that baby was head down when I had an ultrasound (3d) at 30 weeks. I thought it was normal?

  • Mine has been head down since my 20 week ultrasound.  Nothing to be concerned about -- doesn't mean LO will come any earlier.

Did I say he was coming tomorrow?  lol.  I still can't believe I'm almost 32 weeks and the confirmation he's head down is more real than 32 weeks and floating around willy nilly.  Methinks he's way more ready than I am.

My friend says I'll be in the stirrups telling people it's just indigestion.

That being said, thanks for the reassurance, that he's not coming early, even though I wasn't actually freaking about about him being early.
