Can A Toddler Eat 2 Much Yogurt?!?!

So Isabel wants to eat yoguart allll the time! If the fridge is open she pulls one (sometimes 2) out then gets her spoon out and walks up to you to open it. I try not to open the refrigerator when she's around b/c she will have a tantrum if I don't let her have one. I have started keeping only one in her reach at a time the rest are in the veggie tray. How much it too much yogurt?

  • I'd probably restrict her to maybe two a day, I'm not sure how big each of them are.  If they are the flavored kids ones they have a lot of sugar in them.

  • Thanks! They are not very big but they are flavored.

  • The girls usually have one or two a day.  I've been giving them my yogurt because they kids ones are too sweet.  I would limit to two.  We have the issue with bananas.  Katie would eat one at every meal.

  • Thanks Tina! Isabel eats *adult* yoplait yogurt. I think she has only has one today, maybe hiding them is working!

  • Yogurt is so healthy!  Kira loves it too.  As long Isabel gets plenty of iron at *other* times (i.e. not at the same time as she's eating yogurt), and as long as it's indeed mostly yogurt (not loaded with other other than yogurt and fruit) I think it's great!  They need their calcium, and it's so good for their bellies. :)

Sofi loves it too. . She takes them light of the fridge too. I let her have 2 a day and mix fresh fruit in it too!
