Working up until labor?

Anyone else working up until you go into labor?

I am exhuasted and anxious to have this baby - and am hating the thought of 2 more work weeks ! ... but I want to save all my leave for when the baby is actually here.

I'm only in court 3 more times, but just getting up, getting dressed/ make up/ blow drying hair, commuting, being here is taking a lot out of me. I had no idea the end would be this tough !

Meeeeeee!

Physically I feel okay, other than being tired, but mentally I checked out a couple weeks ago. I'm just so anxious now! I'd rather spend my leave at home with the baby instead of sitting at home on the couch though, so I'll tough it out until she gets here. Hopefully it's not too much longer

I am for the most part. I am being induced on Wednesday (for no other reason other than I want to BTW) and Friday is my last day here. So I will have monday and tuesday off and thats about it. If I wasnt being induced I would just keep going.

yep, I am. I think I'd be bored and go crazy if I was at home. I feel pretty good, but the lazy in me wants to stay home and nap. We'll see what I do next week when I'm overdue. : )

I am, physically i'm exhausted! 4th graders are tiring as it is but being pregnant and in 90 degree heat (no AC here at school) is really wearing. I just keep telling myself that the longer I work, the more time I have with lo when he is here! Plus the kids already know that in Dec. if I run into the bathroom they are supposed to call the office (several of them decided this, they recently had little brothers or sisters and informed the whole class that this means my water broke lol)

I have plans written out in case the baby comes in any day in October, but plan till work till contractions come.

me. i labored at work w/ ds! it was early labor and i just thought the contractions would go away b/c i'd been having them off and on all week. after 4 hours of timable 7-10min contractions i called the dr and went home.

like you, i'd rather save my time for recovery and w/ the baby.

indeed. i'll work until this kid comes uot (or is forced out) just like i did with #1.

Yep, I'm here until the bitter end. Unfortunately I procrastinated on some things, so I still have work to do. :-(

I am not getting induced so I dont know how much longer I have at work, but since I have to use vacation time if I go out before I have LO, I will be working until I cant anymore. This is driving me nuts too, I have had contractions off and on all week and right now LO is hiccuping into my ass cheek, and all I want is to go home and relax or better yet get laid so we can get this show on the road.

I am. I used to be in a job where I could work from home most days, but in June I switched and now am back in the office everyday. Plus they are really trying to squeeze everything they can out of me while I am still here. I do get more tired and have somewhat checked out already but I really need it to look like I am getting a ton done! Yikes, guess I should stop bumping....we'll see.

I'm planning to work up until a few days before the due date - so if that is actually around labor time, so be it!

But we'll see how I am feeling when it gets closer to the time...

I am due today and still at work. I think I'd drive myself crazy if I were at home--and I am also saving up my days off for after the baby is born. But, I am definitely exhausted and getting ready takes longer in the morning!

That was my plan and I am now 9 days away from my EDD and I am home at least for today and tomorrow. I have made two trips to triage this week and I have barely slept - dealing with teenagers is the last thing I need now. Though now I am bored and just eat - some times I want to be at work and other times I don't want to be there. I am having "real" contractions, but nothing that is unbearable yet so they want me to rest.

I'm working until the end, however my boss is being super-cool and flexible and told me I could leave early and log in from home whenever I want, since I think she can tell by looking at me how huge, swollen, and uncomfortable I am... she figures I'll be a lot more comfortable with my feet up rather than working at my desk. I still have plenty to do between now and EDD, however, so not exactly taking it easy!

Also working up until the bitter end...hopefully that day is tomorrow or Friday, but if I still have an inside baby on Monday I'll be working!

Wow you ladies have my admiration. I am going off a week and a half before my scheduled csection ( for previa). I am so done already. Mentally I have checked out this past week, and am counting down the days.

Me! I'm a teacher and we come back from winter break on Jan 3rd which is my due date. I fully plan to waddle my butt back into the building if I go past my due date...
