WWYD? - Family pictures

We had a family picture taken last September.  I was planning on getting one taken again this fall.  DH says we should just wait for the new baby.  That seems a long ways away. 

Last time DD had her picture professionally taken was when she was 12 months. 

Should I just do DD or do the whole family?

    Maybe do whole family with an emphasis on DD.  She could have a lot of solo shots taken.  I would probably do them again, but I love professional photos.

    I would say do the whole family, that way this time in your lives is documented instead of rushed through.  Your kids will enjoy looking back at the pictures saying "This was when I was in Mommy's belly". :-)

    I would do them now. We are planning on doing a maternity/family photoshoot after we find out if its a boy or a girl, and then I want to do another one when the baby is 2 months or so. Kids change so fast that I don't think it really matters how close together you do photo shoots.

    I would just do DD and wait until LO arrives. A family pic in june surrounded by flowers and greenery sounds wonderful to me. I plan on doing newborns like that and a family pic in the fall next year. I've already started thinking about it and I'm super excited.

    We're doing them for DD's 2nd birthday.  We kind of hesitated, knowing that we'll want them done again in May, but at the same time we still want pics of her @ 2.  And like the pp mentioned, then we can tell new baby that he/she was in my belly during those pics!   

    See if you can find an up and coming photographer to do your pics for a reasonable price.  We're paying ours $150 for a location shoot, and she's giving us 60-80 images on disc with rights to print.  We did that last year, and it saved us SO much money.  We printed our big framed ones on MPix, and then the ones we handed out for FREE on Snapfish!

    I say document the family as it is now at JCPenney or the like.  Then do a full Pro shoot for the baby with each of you holding him/her and a family shot or two..  Big Bro/Sis holding baby is one of my favorites!!

    I say do them now and have some with just your dd, some with her and daddy and ones with you and your pregnant belly... and once the baby comes then do some more for the family, dd with baby... etc...
