So, for next month's IUI, the dr recommended back-to-back IUIs, where I do an IUI one day and another one the next day. Problem, is, I only have two covered IUIs left on my insurance.
However, I just called the insurance and they count back-to-back IUIs as just "one" on the insurance. So, I'll still have another IUI left on my insurance after this cycle (Nov, anyone?) before I hop onto DH's insurance next year. So happy (I'm doing a happy jig in my cubicle)!!
Oh, and the icing on the cake: all drugs are covered. The Lovenox (the one I was worried about) is totally covered, except for a very affordable co-pay. In addition, the follistim is only going to cost $35 for the whole month. My belly had better prepare itself for the onslaught of needles it's going to be jabbed with!!!
So yeah, BFN this morning, but super stoked about insurance IF coverage!

Wow, that's awesome news!
Insurance is weird, isn't it? I remember when my mom found out that her physical therapy for her knee was covered per appointment, regardless of length. She started doing 1-hour appointments after that instead of 30 minutes, and was like "duh, why wasn't I doing that all along?"
Not to say that you should have been doing back-to-back IUI's all along, but just to say that insurance is a bizarre world that I will never understand. GL to you, I hope this new approach works!!

Aww thanks, that is so sweet of you! The meds are on their way to me now, and honestly, I would feel bad taking it, since my copay is so damn low on it, when there are so many people out there who have to pay up the butt OOP.
I'm with you though, I'd rather not have it sit in my fridge. Whatever I'm not going to use these next two months, I'm going to put on the IF board for any OOPers.
