Will you have a fan in LO's nursery?

I heard recently that having a fan in the nursery helps decrease the risk of SIDS.. DH and I are thinking of installing a ceiling fan in LO's room. Will you have a fan in your nursery? If so, will it be a ceiling fan, an oscillating fan.. or what? I'm just curious. :)

    I read something similar, and we're installing a ceiling fan in the nursery. We probably would have anyway since its our only bedroom without a ceiling fan but it does make me feel a little better :)

    My son's room already had a ceiling fan in there and the couple times we have used it he has ended up with croup so we don't use that. Guess it makes his throat too dry blowing over head.

    Instead we have an air purifier that blows out air like a fan. We have it in the corner of the room and not pointing at his crib. This has worked great with cleaning the air, adding movement to the air (just not on top of him) and also adding white noise.

    We have this one: Purifier from target.

    In the house I was in when my son was born, there were no ceiling fans so we had a very small, but powerful, little fan pointed into his crib from atop the dresser. In my DD's room in this house, we have a ceiling fan. Every time I laid my daughter down, I had it on low.

    Absolutely.  Not to mention the white noise from the fan is awesome in helping get baby to sleep.

    Interesting.  I just bought two ceiling fans today. One for our room and one for the nursery to install as we renovate both rooms.  I wasn't planning on using it on a regular basis, other than the summer.  Now I probably will have it on whenever LO is sleeping.

    We don't have one in DD's room,but I will need to get one for the guest room as it  will be moved to the hotter of our spare rooms.  Baby boy will have the room where the current guest room is and I am still on the fence about installing a fan there as DD will then want one too.

    We need to install ceiling fans throughout our house but there will probably be a window fan if the temp in the room needs to go down.  but it wont be on in the winter.

    I have a ceiling fan in the room, so one less thing on the list to do.

    We have a very old house - most of the rooms don't even have overhead lights that you can turn on via switch. Actually, only four of them do, none of them in a bedroom. I'm thinking about having my FIL or father install a ceiling fan/overhead light in the nursery and our bedroom when we do the paint/carpet.

    The bedroom we are making into the nursery already has a ceiling fan. When DD was born her bedroom had a ceiling fan as well and to this day I still turn it on out of habit. That and she now asks me to turn it on for her! :oP

    Yes; I just read something similar.  We were considering installing a ceiling fan anyway b/c the room can be stuffy in the summer but reading this article confirmed our decision.
