TTC After a Loss

Dr. appointment in two hours, some ??

For those of you that charted, did you print out your charts to show them? It will be a week before the one year of my loss and I want to start asking some testing/IF questions.

I know I should probably get a HSG and DH should get a SA, but is there anything else?

I'm also going to ask them to check my thyroid again since I was dx w/hypothyroidism during my first pg, is there anything else I should have them check me for?

TIA.

  • Definitely bring them, the more info the better, it will help your doctor see you know what you are talking about and take your concerns seriously and not think you are just diagnosing yourself with WebMD.

I brought my charts to my first appt at 8 weeks where I found out the baby was measuring small. I am so glad I charted, because before seeing my charts my OB thought I was just off on my dates or O'd late, and the baby would catch up (it was 2 weeks too small), but I knew I was right and there was no way it could be okay.

  • I haven't gotten to this point, but I wish you luck and a lot of answers at the Dr.'s. I think printing charts sounds like a great idea!

  • It can't hurt to take your charts in.  Some doctors think it is voodoo, some don't.  I would ask about CD3 testing and 7dpo/cd21 testing.

  • I haven't brought mine with me yet, but now that I am starting with a new OB I plan to for my first visit at the end of October. So yes, I would recommend bringing them - I wish I had sooner. Good luck, I hope you get some answers soon.

  • I always take my charts to my doctors. I actually forgot to print mine for my last GP appointment (for something completely unrelated to TTC) and she scolded me. LOL. (note to self: Must remember to print them out for when I see her next week.)
