Trying to Get Pregnant

I suppose I may have jinxed myself...

I was browsing around a used book store today finding little treasures here and there, when I stumbled across this:

It was brand new.  It was only $4.00.  I caved and bought it.

It's really adorable and has space for recording everything from doctor appointments, pregnancy diary, labor info and baby's first year.  It got good reviews on Barnes & Noble....

Now I feel like I may have jinxed myself.  Oops.

  • I am a firm believer in not buying baby stuff, but that is clearly pregnancy stuff, so you are all good! Stick out tongue

  •  LOL.  I have that one and I bought the one that is What to Expect Before you are Expecting.
  • YEP!!! Been there done that! I bought a few books just to start reading up on what I think I need to know about being pregnant and what is going on....so far spotting held off....UNTIL TODAY!!! Dammit! Oh well. It got me pretty down earlier today (on my birthday non the less) but I have decided that with each CD1 (hopefully there aren't many) will be another chance for something special...and very rarely in this life do you get a second chance at anything!

  • I just couldn't resist... I was like, "$4.00?!?! WOOHOO"

I don't buy baby stuff.  I used to work at a daycare and parents would bring in their children's too small clothes.  We used to pick through them before deciding which went in the "extra daycare clothes" bin.  So I've got some adorable Baby Gap clothes that look brand new put away just waiting for me to get KU.

The only clothes item I think I've consciously bought was a teeny little pink tutu from Baby Gap.  Just in case I have a girl.  A friend of mine does beautiful baby portraits and once she took a photo of a sleeping baby girl in a beautiful pink tutu.  On the off chance that I happen to have a girl, I must have the tutu on standby.  ...That's what I get for being an ex-ballet dancer.

  • I got this one and What to expect the first year at a thrift store for about $1 each. I just rationalized that it was more cost effective than buying them at a bookstore for $15 each later.
