My LO's nursery so far looks like this (no picture necessary): A clean room with a beautiful rocking chair in it. Oh, there's also a swing (that will not stay in his room), and a box with gifts I got from my work baby shower in it in his room.
Yup... ...
Sorry Logan, but we promise it'll be ready before you get here.
The walls are mint green, the lighting makes them look blueish in photos though, oddly. I still need a cushion for the rocker, bedding (that's just my old Paddington Bear quilt someone made when I was a baby), and lamps.
I just recently posted these, but in case anyone missed them . I can't wait to get the curtains and bedding in so the whole room looks softened and more colorful. My shower is in two weeks, so not too long to wait!
Oh boy, so behind! Um, we emptied the room (aside from some of my shoes in the closet), the furniture is on order and I called someone for a painting estimate. That's it. Pretty sure some of you will be popping out babies before I'm done!
Picture a jail cell w/ a window and carpet padding. That's all we have. We're getting carpet installed next week and then we'll get moving on the furniture. The paint color is not what I pictured, but I'm hoping once all the white furniture is in there, it'll look a lot better.
I'm not 100% in love with the wall color, but we're really limited because of our apartment contract. Booo.
Pictures I made to hang above the crib.
Bedding I made to go with our farm animal theme.
This is basically the whole room. Can you tell we're team green? lol
wow! So you really live up to your sn :0)
Thank you!
The best advice I got throughout this whole pregnancy was from my sister (who just had a baby back in May). She said that she knew me and that I'd want to make everything in the nursery, but that I should start early because I wouldn't want to do it in 3rd tri. Boy, was she right!! Haha
"I wanted you more than you'll ever know, so I sent love to follow wherever you go."
Since we just moved in with my parents and our bedroom is also going to be our nursery, we don't have a whole lot done for the baby. This past weekend my husband and father ripped up the carpet, and put down wood looking flooring. We just left the walls off-white or antique white. Then they moved in our new bed, plus we put in a shelving unit for our television, and we are also using it as a dresser of sorts for the husband and I (using the nice storge cubes to keep everything organized, neat, and together). And we have the rocker my mom used with me sitting in our room. So we basically have the adult side of the bedroom finished, but it's a no go thus far on the baby side. We just know where things are going to go, and we don't have a ton to do since we don't have a big space. So I'm not tooo worried just yet. LOL
Not that I had much of one to begin with, but now we're most likely moving December 1st, so I'm guessing I'm not going to do anything to add to the corner we have here.
Still need bedding, curtain valance, replace/recover the glider cushions, and I don't like those lanterns on the pedastals- probably going to swap them out for some other little bird decor items.
I'm not crazy about this tree picture here so I bought a big frame to put one of her newborn pics in later. I made the bird mobile myself. It's hard to see here but there is a little blue bird on the nightstand- it lights up... so cute! Ignore the fan on the floor- that doesn't go there :-)
we have no nursery yet because 6-8 weeks for furniture apparently means 10+ in the world of USA baby.. booooooooooooooooooooooooo. we do have a picture on the wall. and a crib mattress, hehe.
Our nursery has been done for ages but I haven't posted any pics yet. Once we get his name on the wall in the next week or two it will be officially finished. I will have to get some pics out soon.

Here is what we've gotten done so far for Anna's nursery (testing out the name - not 100% set on it yet). It's our wintry snowflake-and-polar-bears theme, ice blue w/ brown and pink color scheme.
My shower is on Saturday (yay!) so I'm looking forward to having some new things to fill the nursery.
FYI - the stroller is a placeholder for the glider/ottoman (Newco chenille upholstered glider and ottoman in chocolate brown - from BRU).
Also, the floor lamp is temporary until we get our ceiling fan/light installed.
Um let's see my progress... well there's new paint on the walls which DH did last weekend. The crib is still in the box and leaning up against the wall. DH's dresser lives in that room too as my house has small rooms. I have a book shelf with a few baby things on it, but still need to get a closet organizer. Unfortunately because of the small rooms they also come with small closets so DH and baby will share. I am also still waiting on the dresser that my parents purchased for us from an unfinished furniture store. My dad is going to stain it to match the crib.
This is the state of our nursery. *sigh* My inlaws came at the beginning of the month to prime the room. (The pink is from the previous owners.) While there they peeled back some paneling along the window wall to see what was beneath. Well, what they found was a giant wasps nest - complete with honeycombs. (The black along the wall is where the wasps were as wels as some serious water damage.) Needless to say, the whole wall came down and we are now renovating most of our house. We're stuck waiting for building permits so we can add insulation and new drywall. Also getting new windows. I'm dying to make this room into a nursery and am pretty panicked that my home is a construction zone. Eek!
On a much brighter note, I loved looking at everyone's nursery's! Makes me excited to one day work on ours!

Give me 24 hours and I should be almost done and able to post photos.
It's painted, the crib is put together, there's bedding on the crib, the closet is installed, there are clothes and stuff in it.
The dresser is put together but the drawers are not. The changing table is still in the box. I'm hoping to finish both of those tonight.
We have the poster framed but not hung - waiting on the last of the furniture to go in before deciding on placement.

I am hoping to have it completed by this weekend and will post pictures then but here's a glimpse at today's project: finishing the closet...
Her closet is nicer than mine...I'm jealous

I will have to PIP later tonight.
My cell didn't get good pics of his nursery and I gotta charge my camera. Everything is done except for the week which should be in a few weeks.
ETA: Spelling.

Looking good, girls!
KateySue- Nolan has a crap-ton of clothes!!! That will be one well dressed little guy!!
Sonadora- Your room is just gorgeous! I usually don't like monkeys for nurseries, but you pulled this off wonderfully!
Lainey's room is very, very close to done. I have one more art project to do- then just work on integrating gifts as we receive them.
This is the view from her door:
And I tried to upload more but tiny pics is being SLOW.
)
Marshalls! It took me forever to find one that I liked, that was affordable, and machine washable!! It was $30!
Not quite finished- but getting there:
Still need bedding, curtain valance, replace/recover the glider cushions, and I don't like those lanterns on the pedastals- probably going to swap them out for some other little bird decor items.

Picture of his bed and what not
His diaper stash:
His newborn stash is in all three of the drawers:
Still a few things left to do in this area and the closet and rest of the room. Once it is done I will post pictures.

Great jobs everyone! Love them!
We haven't put ours together yet, but I've been blogging about our planning process on my blog (link in sig). I think we're close to choosing a theme!
