Re: recommend your shampoo

  • I like the fructise length and strength formula. Its really cheap but the only shampoo that actually makes my hair feel softer.

  • I use Matrix Essentials.  It's a little more expensive, but it is so good.  I actually just switched to it recently, because I needed a good clarifying shampoo too and this was recommended to me.  It makes my hair feel more full and so clean.  Ok, now I feel like I'm in a commercial. Stick out tongue

  • I just went from blonde to red and my stylist recommended the JOICO Color safe shampoo. I really like it. It smells good and gets my hair so clean, I only have to wash it every other day. Info.
  • Burt's Bees Super Shiny.  My hair loooves it, and it doesn't bother my skin like so many shampoos and conditioners do these days.

  • I use Bumble and Bumble Sunday shampoo every week to every other week as a clarifying. I love it because I love B&B products, and it really clears my hair up and makes it look clean and smooth and gets rid of product build up.
  • I love Aveda products.  I use Shampure shampoo and used to use the same conditioner.  I just recently switched to their Dry Remedy conditioner and have really noticed a difference.

  • I really like Healthy Sexy Hair, by Sexy Hair Products. My hair is always soft and smells nice. I was having this issue, where my hair would get oily by the end of the day, but I had dry scalp. It was awful! But yeah, that shampoo cleared it up after the first wash! Good stuff.

  • Kerastase! Pricey but I think it's worth every penny.

  • My hair is so particular that I can't use the same shampoo & conditioner all the time. I'm sure my highlights and bleaching every 6-8 wks don't help much either! I switch it up from bottle to bottle but I keep to the same ones, making a circuit.

Length & Strength by Garnier Fructis -because it's cheap, works pretty well, and smell great.

Radiate by Nutrius (found at walmart) -this one's for color treated hair but they have one for clarifying and I've heard it works awesome, too. It's paraben and sulfate free (for those of us trying to cut back on chemicals!) and pretty inexpensive as well. Smell great and leave my hair shiny and soft, not greasy.

Dumb Blonde by TIGI/Bed Head- I'll use this one the week after getting my hair re-highlighted. It's a reconstructing shampoo & conditioner. A little more pricey but worth it. I'll use this here and there when my hair is being particular, making my bottles stretch out over time. :)

  • I use Aussie Cleanse & Mend Shampoo and Conditioner.

My hair used to be so oily to the point that I had to wash it every day.  But my ends were drying out.  With this Aussie stuff, I can go two days without washing my hair!  And it never looks oily.  That's a huge deal for me.  Love this stuff.

  • I bought Kenra Clarifying Shampoo from a beauty supply shop and really like it. It smells nice and works well.

If you're just looking for a good drugstore brand, I found that Neutrogena's Anti Residue shampoo worked really great too.
