Waking up shaking/shivering

I woke up this morning and I was shaking/shivering uncontrollably.  It wasn't that cold in the room and I really didn't feel that cold.  The shivering/shaking was coming in waves going through my body.  It was a very weird feeling - nothing like I have ever experienced before.  It woke my husband up and then I cuddled with him and after about 5-10 minutes it went away and I have been fine since.

Has anybody else experienced this?  It was just the strangest feeling.  I could feel it through my belly.  I have my next doctors appointment tomorrow and will bring up then but figured I would see if anybody else has ever had this happen to them!

    I don't like the sound of that....infection is my #1 guess (if the room wasn't 50 degrees)...are you OK now?

    I have been fine since.  it was the strangest feeling ever though.  DH found somewhere online it can be a sign of early labor and when I went to the doctor yesterday I was dilated one centimeter and 75% effaced.  So maybe that is what it is?
