laptop at the hospital?

Just wondering, those of you who have posted from L&D are you writing from your cell phone or did you bring your laptop with you??

Maybe its an american thing, because I cant get on to the site from my cell phone...:o(

I'm bringing my laptop because the rooms all have wifi. I don't know that I would do a "live from labor and delivery" type post, but I will for sure shoot an email out to friends/family the next day or something.

Exactly. We want it to be able to update family and friends and maybe kill some time during labor.

When I had DS the hospital did not have wifi so I wasn't able to post at all. I am hoping that 2.5yrs later they will finally have it, we'll see I guess.

Some areas of my hospital have wifi and some do not.

I loved having a laptop in the room, esp with a c/s being in there 4 days, it was nice to connect and keep up to date on news.

Would be lost without my laptop, my hospital in Detroit has wifi, but for some reason thebump was blocked.

We will be bringing the laptop so we can get on skype and allow my parents that live in Europe be "in the room" w/us and also to kill time/update friends etc. I can update from my phone too (on phone now)
