Repeat appointment after 27 week blood work?

Hello

 The other day I went in for the 27 week blood work, which included that nasty orange glucose tolerance drink....YUK! I think there was a complete blood count, as well as a urine, anything else?

Anyways, I got a call the next day telling me that my Doc wanted to see me as soon as I could get in to see him. This is my third pregnancy, and I don't remember ever having to come in after doing those tests before. I work in the hospital as a nurse, so when after that phone call I then felt a little weak and shaky, I checked my blood sugar just to see. It was 3.9,a little low, and then after eating it was 8.9, a little high. Who knows, it could just be that I'm low on iron or something, and that's why he wants to see me, but everyone that I have talked to that had gestational diabetes had to check their blood sugars all the time, and give themselves insulin, hope I don't have to. If I do have it, maybe I can just try to control it with diet and exercise.

Anyways, I have my follow up appointment today to see what this is all about.

I'm probably just a paranoid pregnant momma right guys?

    I know I tend to always assume the worst when I hear something like "the doctor needs to see you ASAP" or "the nurse wants to talk to you about your bloodwork".  I guess all you can do is wait until your appt. today and see what your doc says. Maybe he's taking the proactive approach rather than having you wait and wonder.  Best of luck!

     It just sucks that my appointment is late afternoon, would kinda be nice to get it over with first thing.
