Re: Read if you plan to use a positioner

  • Wait...aren't you supposed to stop using the sleep positioner once the baby can roll from back to front?

You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK.  Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.

  • I agree they shouldn't always be used.  But when DS learned how to roll from his back to his front and couldn't roll the other way he would scream until we went in and flipped him over.  After weeks of us not getting any sleep we bought this:

It worked like a dream.  I will add that we have a video monitor and I turned it way up so everytime DS would move it would wake me up and I could make sure he was in it correctly.  We never had a problem.

  • we used this bad boy with our tightly swaddled kid until about 3 months: clicky

worked like a dream- specially when she got a nasty cold & started choking whenever we layed her flat.

It's not recommended to use one unless it's for a medical reason... They pose a suffocation hazard even before rolling....   It's actually quite amazing how wiggly some newborns/young babies can be....

But......it's still on the market, so people will still have to make their own decisions:)

  • We had newborn care class this week and the nurse said NOT to use them unless you are told to by the doctor, I think we are going to take ours back.
