I had a dream last night that I was feeding my little guy (who was VERY cute by the way! ) and when I stood up, he was gone...
I looked around for him and couldn?t find him. I went out into my bedroom and my grandmother was making my bed (also strange) I asked her if she had seen the baby and she said, oh yeah, he was tangled in the sheets so I took him into the living room?.. Most random, weird dream!
Now onto the flu shots? how many of you got them? The Dr. said yesterday it is safe to do, so I need to just go with that, but I don?t even take Tylenol when I have a headache?I am guessing it is safe to have that in your system and won't harm the baby. Ahhh did you get one?
Re: Weird Dream and Flu Shot?
That is a random dream!
I am getting a flu shot next Tuesday. My doctor recommended that I get one, she said PG woman are 6x more likely to get the flu. If you google news articles about pregnancy and the flu shot there are a lot of articles about it. The CDC is recommending that all PG get vaccinated. They only thing they say is to get the shot, not the nasal spray.
Not sure about the development aspect since we're so far along but it could cause pre-term labor.
If you get too dehydrated, it can be a serious situation. Maybe pre-term labor is more likely than it affecting the baby's growth, but I talked it over with my doctor, and she's the one who put it in those terms -- not trying to be misleading!
I got my flu shot yesterday and I have one piece of advice for you. Think of how you are comfortable sleeping....if you can only sleep on one side - don't get the shot in that arm!!
I didn't think of this and got it in my left arm. Since its an intramuscular shot (like tetnus) it can hurt like a bruise for a day or so. I am only comfortable sleeping on my left side at this point, so last night was miserable!!

Oh, this is such good advice. I got the pertussis vaccination yesterday, and I couldn't sleep on that side last night. That arm is super-sore! I didn't even think about it before hand.
