i took reglan for 3 days and my breast did get engorged and my milk increased slightly for those 3 days but the side effects were so awful, i had to stop taking it. reglan made me extremely drowsy and fatigued to the point where i didn't feel comfortable alone with LO while i was on it.
i think i read that the side effects only happen to about 10% of users (lucky me) so i hope it works for you!
I took it for 1 week and didn't notice too much of a difference. The side effects were aweful. It wasn't worth it to me. I had a mastitis and was in the er and I complained of headaches and blurry vision and he said it was caused by the reglan. I had trouble getting words out as well. Just not worth it to me.
The doctor in the ER said that he feels breastfeeding is very important but he would advise everyone to stay away from it. He said that the side effects aren't worth it.
I rented a hospital grade pump and I am able to pump 22 oz a day for LO. She takes 3 oz of formula a day
It made me drowsy too...I would have an iced coffee after I took it and that helped ...I really don't know if it helped my supply ..I got freaked out by the drowsiness so now I'm taking Motherlove special blend instead
