I know the mind can be very powerful, especially when you want something as badly as we all want to be pg, but realistically is there anything you could feel if you were pg at, say, 5dpo (obv. before you knew if you were pg), that would be different from a woman who was NOT pg at 5dpo?

Well considering that implantation doesn't normally occur until about 7-10 dpo, realistically you probably wouldn't feel anything.
If you perhaps did feel something like a symptom, and then were pregnant, I would chalk it up to coincidence personally.
