I'm getting ready to have our stockings embroidered with out names, but I'm up in the air about what to write - should I use "Mom and Dad" or just our first names?
Thoughts?

My Grandmom makes all of our stockings. Each new family member, by marriage or birth gets a stocking for their first Christmas in the family. They may have the first name or just a Christmas theme.
I say go with your first names. When I was a kid my mom made us stockings with our names, but my parents stockings said "Mom" and "Dad". Well, we still use our stockings. My mom has made new stockings for my SIL, my nephews, my husband, and my daughter. My mom's stocking still says "Mom" (my dad passed away), but now there are 2 other moms on Christmas morning.
Re: KBR: Christmas Stockings

Other ways to think about it....
- Do your children's stockings say son and daughter or do they have their names on them?
- One day you may also be a grandma. But do you ever see stockings that say Grandma? Would you add the title Grandma to your "Mom" stocking?
- You will always be "Your Name." But titles will come and go during your lifetime - daughter, mommy, mom, grandma, aunt, sister, etc.
