I was just wondering if anyone has a front pouch or a backpack for the Ergo and what you think of them. We have an original Ergo and I have been considering getting one of the backpacks that go with it. We recently took DS to an event where he rode around for 5 or 6 hours (with a few breaks). We carried a backpack with us, but it was impossible for me to wear him and the backpack and DH ended up carrying the diaper backpack and our other bag as well. I was thinking that the backpack that attaches might be handy to have in situations like this.
Also, my mother recently bought an Ergo off craigslist to use with my DS and my niece since she watches them both during the week. She had used our ergo with DS and really liked it. The only problem is that it is the sport version that does not come with a zippered pocket. This is one of the features that we really appreciate about the original, because we can easily carry a diaper, a few wipes, a clean onesie, etc. in the pocket. I was wondering if the pouch would be sufficient to carry these things as well. Thanks for any feedback you may have!
Re: Ergo accessories
I got the backpack for mothers day. I have used it once or twice with my Pikkolo and a lot by its self. I made getting the carrier on for a back carry a little more challenging because of the weight of the filled backpack attached to the carrier. Once on though it was great. It doesn't fit my Pikkolo prefectly obviously but it still worked. With a front carry it would be really easy though i think. It is a really nice light backpack perfect for I what need to have with me for a day with my toddler.I think it is really well made.
I also got a pouch from Patapum toddler. I really like it too. I don't know how it compares to the ergo pouch. I like that it can snap around the waist belt and I also like that it has a strap so I can use it like a purse too. I can fit my wallet, phone, keys and a couple of other small things. If I didn't put that stuff in I could probably fit what you listed.
