LO is starting to get excited when I read to her, but we only have a few that are age appropriate. What books do you read to your LO? Where did you get them?

I have a variety (got them mostly at target or walmart)
dr suess board books (ABCs, and a few others), we have some richard scarry from target that were $1 each, and have some religious ones from LO's baptism gifts (god love opposites)
And then we have some my mom got: a twinkle twinkle little star, a couple different counting books.
DD loves books with babies in them... we have Baby Faces, which folds out like an accordion and I swear the photos are from the 70s... we also have Baby Colors and Baby Giggles, both by the same author... DD turns the pages herself and laughs at the baby faces.

I like Sandra Boynton's board books. There's one called "The Going to Bed Book" that I read to the lil' lamb before bed and it's really cute. I know Barnes & Noble and Target carry them.

Barnes and Noble has a ton. DD goes BSC for Goodnight Moon, her eyes get huge and she kicks the entire time, lol. We also have The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Runaway Bunny, Pat the Bunny, Where's Spot?, a Golden Book about baby animals (they have those in board books too!!) We have a bunch of the regular style Golden Books, too - The Pokey Little Puppy, The Tawny Scrawny Lion, The Saggy Baggy Elephant, Tootle, Scuffy. We have a big collection of Disney stories DH likes reading from. DD loves reading, she'll be enthralled with an article from Rolling Stone or Entertainment Weekly lol.
Some board books I'm putting on her Christmas list: The Mitten, The Little House, Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel - I was super psyched to see all the stories they have in that style now! All my childhood favorites.

I second this! I also like Brown Bear Brown Bear. DD seems to like any books that have a sing song quality to them.
We like "different" kinds of books so one of our favorites to read right now is I Love You, Stinky Face.
We read this one too. My other favorites are The Going to Bed Book, Goodnight Moon, Goodnight Gorilla, and then random others by Sandra Boynton and Eric Carle.
DD is just starting to get into 'touch and feel' and sparkle books. She likes things with movement too.
The storyline doesn't really matter at this point so get something that appeals to YOU. (we read Ella the Elegant Elephant over and over because the story makes me cry).
Like the little panda book referenced above, our son loves two finger puppet books, "Little Fish" and "Little Butterfly" He loves to grab and hold the book and the puppets while we're reading. We read both books nearly every night. We got the books as gifts and our friend bought them at The Gap. The whole collection is available on Amazon.
He also loves Good Night Gorilla, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Good Night Moon.

The very first book that excited LO was a very simple finger puppet book called "little panda". See https://www.amazon.com/Little-Panda-Finger-Puppet-Book/dp/0811869997/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_a
He also loves a book called "baby beluga" because there's a song that goes with it that I sing to him.
