DS needs a DHA vitamin. When he takes it you can actually see a change in his behavior- talking. so I take 2 of his, they are gummies. much easier to eat then the prenatal DHA, but same ingredients.

I thought it was interesting I never heard anything about taking it while pregnant with DD, and less than a year later my OB strongly encouraged taking a prenatal vitamin w/DHA... so I do.
I was taking it in the begining because it came with my prenatal vitatmin, but after speaking with my Thyroid Dr., he actually encouraged me to stop taking it for whatever reason.
I am not sure what if there will be an adverse effect on my child, but I highly doubt it, esp. since its not something that has been a part of prenatal care for long.
Re: Clicky: Do you take a DHA supplement?
i take Prenatal one from rainbow light and it comes with an additional DHA pill. i also take vitamin D3 pills.

I actually just started taking 200mg of DHA. I began in my 3rd trimester.
I order it from vitacost.com
Previously DHA was actually discouraged, however, its back now...
Lots of info if you google dha & pregnancy. From what I can tell, its most beneficial in the 3rd trimester.
Interestingly, GNC's prenatal contains 250mg of DHA.
I also take rainbow one from vitacost & 4mg (additional) folic acid.
