I was so happy that we bought a new stove on Sunday that was delivered today.
DH calls me at work to warn me that my new stove is in the living room and the old stove is still in the kitchen
Apparently the delivery guy couldn't set up our new gas stove because our gas pipe is copper and they only give them that flex-wire stuff. I have 2 stoves and neither of them work ![]()
The Gas company is suppose to call tomorrow to set up a date to install the new stove...wonder how much extra that will be!

Exactly! It's karma because we got the oven for a great deal so now we have to pay out in some other way...ugh!

I hear ya! Half of our yard is still dug up and taped off with Caution tape. At the beginning of the month, the septic tank needed to be emptied. When they emptied it, the guy found a bent pipe that was probably contributing to our backed-up toilets. So he left everything dug up so the landlord wouldn't have to dig it back up to have the pipe fixed.
Problem is, the landlord can't be arsed to call us back about this bent pipe. I don't really care! Our toilets are working fine now. I don't care about the bent pipe getting fixed at this point, hopefully we will be moving in a year or two before the tank gets filled up again. Not like it will be an issue for us. I just want the go-ahead to fill in that damn hole!
Almost makes me hate renting even more. But the up-side is that when all was said and done, it cost the landlord $1k to get the tank pumped and all that, and we didn't have to spend a dime. There's a silver lining, for sure!
Oh wow! You just gave me an appreciation for having a well and not a septic tank! Like you said it's on the landlord's dime and not yours; thank goodness.

Sorry to hear that I know it is super frustrating. I had an oven issue this spring when we moved into our new house....we found out it had a short so I couldn't use it. Luckly it was electric & we were able to get it replaced the next week.
Needless to say it was a long week of going out, cooking out of the Crock Pot, & eating cold cut sandwiches...not exactly what I had pictured when we moved in.
That sucks! Of course, it IS an excuse to order takeout and not have to cook!
