I have lurked occasionally but haven't posted much recently. We all moved into our new house this weekend and I love it here. There's been some minor issues-need to replace the overhead microwave and the carpet in what's supposed to be my room. It reeked of cat/dog urine so my dad tore it all out and we've swept, and mopped with bleach. It smells fine now but we have to wait for the landlord to replace the carpeting. (Which is a whole nother issue. Shouldn't he have to pay for the carpet since it was his dog who ruined it before we moved in? He's making us pay for half, or else it was no new carpet at all.) ANYWAY, I see some more new faces...yayyyy haha
DD's birthday is Friday and her party is on Sunday. I can't wait! A fellow bumpie made a pillowcase dress for her and it is sooo cute.

About the carpet...did you ask him if it was okay before you tore it out? If not, that's probably why he wants you to pay for half. He probably would have called somebody to clean it if he knew there was an issue. I'm sure he was so used to the smell he didn't even smell it anymore. Yuck!
Yes, my dad called him first to ask him to replace the carpet. The landlord said if we paid for half he would have the carpet replaced. My dad took it upon himself to tear the carpet out himself to save money on the labor. A few people have also said that--about being used to the smell. I can't imagine being used to such a gross odor!
