ive just started my GD diet - and it sucks. i mean, not the food. but i feel all weak and hungry all day! i guess im withdrawing from all the sugar and carbs i was eating
Yes! It does get better, it took my body about a week to figure everything out. I kept nuts and a cheese stick handy at work as an emergency snack to get me to next meal. Now that I have a schedule, it seems like all I do is eat, but really I am eating less and blood sugars are great! Don't give up :-) it will be worth it soon.
thank you!!! i actually have nuts in my desk at work! lol. and i just texted DH at the food store and told him to get cheese sticks. great ideas. thanks again.

This is how it was for me too. It took about a week and then your body will be used to it. Good luck!!

I was STARVING all the time! Eat more protein! I'm eating PB sandwiches and english muffins for lunch or snack. I also like cheese on triscuits, mini pepperoni sticks...
I still get that feeling if I go longer than three hours without eating. It stinks. My nurse said to eat more protein snacks throughout the day. Inbetween the carby snacks. I had large keytones in my urine.
I go back tomorrow morning for a check-in. I hope they are better! I feel like I have been eating non-stop. I am SO sick of food at this point.
Wow...never thought I would type that.
Yeah...my pics were so old. I got 3 kids. Nuff said.

My Mom made me chocolate chip cookies when I was in the hospital after having DS. BEST thing I have ever eaten. Seriously.
