I don't often post, but I loved seeing pics of others' nurseries, so I wanted to share mine as well. We still have some final touches, but it's close enough to post some pics!. = ) We're waiting until the baby is born (and we know girl or boy) for the valances. We'll pull some more of the pinks out of the rug if it's a girl, and stick with the greens/blues if it's a boy.
I originally went for a very modern look, but it ended up more a little more on the traditional/contemporary side, but I still love it!
the rug is from Anthropology (and the inspiration for the room). The recliner is heavenly (swivels, rocks, reclines) and was something we had in another room, but it never really fit with the rest of the furniture or space; it will be great in here. Our dresser/changing table and side table are all re-used items as well (painted white to match)

I saw this bedding (Nursery Works) last year and LOVED it. It was discontinued this year, but I tracked is down (for 1/4 of the price!) online. The frames have items from when DH and I were babies (shoes, favorite books etc). The crib is Babyletto Mercer.

My mom ran across this in a box. She made this while pregnant with me. I replaced the frame and it works perfect with our colors and is sentimental:

Found this lamp at TJ Max, and we (aka DH) re-wired it as a ceiling light. The color is a near perfect match for the walls (better than this picture shows), which were painted before I found the lamp.

The trees are actually inspired by something I saw in Dwell (magazine). We made them out of wood, painted them, and then put rope lighting behind them. (they still need to be mounted to the walls- they will stand about 1" off the walls). They will be on dimmer switches, and can be used as a soft light at night.

Re: Gender neutral, contemporary bright colored nursery- PIP
Very cute!
Great job. I was so happy to see your bedding set since that's the one we're getting for our nursery.
there are so many ways to go with the bedding- I love it! I debated for a long time what way to use it. I hope you enjoy it too. I'd love to see pics when you are done.
ahhh! that's awesome. My mom found it hidden in a box that she was going to toss/donate, but I'm so glad it didn't make it to the trash. I'm not a big cross stitch person, but it works so well and is sentimental.
