I am going on a plane trip across the country with LO (9mo old) and I am not sure which carrier is better for the airport. She likes both equally as well.
I don't have an Ergo, but I liked with the Moby that I could roll it up pretty compact if I wasn't wearing it, or I could comfortably wear it tied on without baby in it. So I would consider those 2 things when deciding which to bring.. if you don't have LO in the carrier all the time, which would be easier to travel with?
It is possible LO may be able to stay in the moby to go through security. We traveled internationally and DS was able to stay in a woven once or twice. You do have to take LO's shoes off so thats something to keep in mind if wrapping.

I don't have an ergo either but you could keep the moby on the entire time nad not have it be too big of a deal. and as pp said it rolls pretty small.
You might not be able to keep it on going through security- you really can't predict if they will make you take it off or not. I have had them ask me to remove DD's robeez when she was like 4 months old.
I don't have a moby, but I have traveled using a mei tai and the Ergo. I have the diaper bag that hooks onto the outside of the ergo and personally that's the best set-up for me- having baby and everything he needs on me, hands free- when I do take the Ergo off to go through security I only have to worry about one piece- since I leave the diaper bag and ergo hooked to one another.
