Bittersweet trip to Kroger.

Sweet - As I was breathing down the donut lady's neck she told me if I waited three seconds she would print me off a manager's special label for my donuts, AND she gave me an extra donut.

Bitter - I just had a few items so I told the cashier to put it all in the same bag. It was literally a bag of chips, hamburger buns, cheese slices and dog treats. She got all disgusted and asked, "You want the dog stuff in with the cheese?! (clutching her pearls)"

I'll tell you what I don't want. I don't want a polar bear, or equally ferocious endangered animal, ripping my face off when I walk out of here with each item in it's own bag. Waste much?

Assuming both the dog food and cheese were wrapped/in packages, I don't see what the problem is.

Some people are ridiculous.

LOL. They charge for bags over here so everyone tries to fit everything into one bag or bring their own.

LMAO...That is awesome...and seriously WTH would it matter if the dog treats and the cheese go in the same bag and I'm pretty sure that if she was a kroger cashier her pearls were fake so she should ease up on the judgy judge.

I hate that. Either a crapload of bags or weird looks. Everything is sealed up in their own individual packages anyway so what's the big deal. I never understood when people would specifically ask for their canned pet food to go into a separate bag from their canned vegetables. All 3 cans of it. Confused

I actually don't remember the last time I went through a normal checkout line, lol. I always use the self-checkout lanes at Kroger and Meijer and I get complete control over what goes in what bags Smile . DH does most of the main shopping so my trips are usually small so the 15-20 item limit for self-checkout doesn't really affect me. When we go to Meijer together we use the big self-checkouts with belts and no item limit for our bigger trips. I hate that Wally-World doesn't offer self checkout, especially since the night crew is always so pleasant Confused We shop late to avoid other shoppers but the stores don't always put their best crews on the graveyard shift Wink

Oh and mmm, donuts Big Smile
