Odd Spotting Question

So, I pretty much always check CM inernally when I go to the bathroom during the day. I do check the TP (much more obsessively in the 2WW, haha), but I usually don't see anything on there.

Today, I've been having tons of creamy CM, but when I wiped I saw just a tinge of red. I wiped twice and I saw it both times, just a tiny, tiny bit. Isn't it weird that I didn't see anything when I checked internally?

I usually don't spot before AF, so this is news to me!

    Could be implantation spotting, could be you just nicked something checking last time. GL!

    Could you have nicked yourself or maybe be irritated from Sex?

    If not, then I'd make note of it, but wait to see if it was really spotting

    Is it possible that you couldn't see the red when you checked internally because of the pinkish color of your fingers? It would have shown up more clearly red on white, then red on pink.  Just a theory.

    See, I don't remember nicking myself at all. You would think I'd remember that, haha!

    I'm just not sure if I should even mark it as spotting.

    I am an L&D RN and feel comfortable answering this.  Your cervix is VERY vascular.   If when checking CM internally you are also checking cervical position or even just nick your cervix it could make you spot very lightly.  You wouldn't see it until after you checked internally because it wasn't there until after you touched the cervix.  Just an idea!

    Last month was the first time I ever started spotting.  I spotted for 2 days then got AF on day #3.

    Just like PP said. You could have nicked yourself. You can nick yourself and not even know it.

    Maybe implanation.

    I hate to ask, but have you taken another OPK today or yesterday?  Is it possible it's ovulation spotting?  I know you're not 100% convinced on your O date, so just a thought.

    I haven't. I kind of just went with what FF gave me and I stopped. I also haven't seen any fertile CM.

    But now, i am totally going to test (opk, not hpt) when i get home, lol :)

    I hope I'm wrong and FF is right, but I tought I'd throw that out there.  On the other hand, if you're having lots of creamy CM, maybe a hpt wouldn't be such a bad idea. Wink (in a few days, of course)

    These BFPs are killing me (mostly in a good way). And after kerrbear's bfp? Forget it! I'm surprised i haven't tested yet!

    I am keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us. Hopefully we can be buddies on the June board!!

    I hope so!  I've already been lurking over there to see how it is.  I keep thinking that this is our perfect timing month, it has to be this month.  I know it's crazy, but I've done crazier. 

    Mari got her BFP today too, so our GTG group is slowly but surely becoming moms.  It gives me hope too.  It's gotta be our turn, right???
