Is it normal for fetuses to have "quiet" days?

The baby is normally really active, but I haven't felt her much today.  I've had enough random kicks and punches to not be completely freaking out, but usually, I can't even count the number of times I feel her in a given hour and today/tonight she's been really calm in there.  I've probably only felt her twice in the past hour or so.

    I do think that is normal and I used to freak myself out with that too. However, if you are concerned, it couldn't hurt to call.

    I remember those with DS2, I hated them. I was always worrying.

    It's normal, especially that early. If I was ever worried, I would drink some cranberry juice and lay down. That always got her moving.

    At 22 weeks I don't think I was feeling either girl move consistently. There would be kicks here and there, but definitely nothing like you're describing normally. I wouldn't worry.

    Also, Charlotte was always really quiet when I was active. As soon as I would sit down to rest, she'd wake up and start kicking me. There would be times I'd sit calmly for a while just to make sure everything was okay.

    At 22 weeks, it's very possible that depending on how the baby is turned, that you can't feel her kicking.  I remember asking the same thing the 2nd time around because I was so used to feeling DS kick.  I think I might've even been closer to 25 weeks when I asked.  The Dr. told me that the baby is still so small, if they are turned certain ways, you just can't feel the kicks.

    Yes!  My son used to do this all the time.  On these days I drank like 8 gallons of apple juice to get him moving again, just to reassure me.  Don't worry!

    Yep, it is normal.  When I'd get freaked, I'd drink some juice or pop, or whatever, and lay on my left side.  That would usually get my girls going!
