Ok so I am home with a sick baby so I am going to cook a real dinner. We have some sweet potato gnocci but I don't know what sauce to make. I am thinking some kind of cream sauce with nutmeg or cinnamon. Thoughts? Recipes? CTbride and others help me out!

I use a sage infused olive oil for sweet potato gnocchi. Heat the oil up until it's warm and throw a few sage leaves in, turn heat off and let sit for a few minutes, remove leaves. You can also do it with dried sage, just don't remove the bits, they should be soft enough to eat.
Just barely coat the gnocchi with the oil and add parmesan cheese and VOILA, you have dinner.
I didn't have fresh sage so I did a parm sage (dried) cream sauce. It was pretty good. I didn't love the gnocci but I can't tell if this was the sweet potato aspect or that I didn't cook them well. I will have to try again when not trying to hold onto a small cranky person.

Re: need dinner help
Sounds delicious! I've made this recipe before and the sage cream sauce is really good.

PS: I didn't have fresh sage on hand when I made it and used dried. It was still very yummy.
And best wishes for a speedy recovery for sweet Ella!
