5lbs in three days? Really!?

What the heck happened since Friday? I mean, yes, I'm noshing a bit more but on I can only handle nibbles and bites at any given time. But geesh - 5 lbs?! I'm pretty sure some of it is bloat but I can't imagine that much.

Two years ago, I lost 30 lbs and have kept my weight stable for more than a year, so I'm kind of freaking out. Mostly because I know it's not healthy to gain a lot of weight, but I'll admit to some vanity here.

I know I can slow this gain down to get back on track, I really don't want to go to my first appointment next week and have my doctor give me the weight speech already!

  • Same here - exact same. I've gained 5 pounds in about 4 days. It has to mostly be bloat. How is it even possible for the body to put on that much weight in fat in that short of a time?

    Also - keep in mind the boobs are probably also a culprit. I think mine have gained at least a pound - they feel really heavy.

  • I cringed when I went up 5 lbs since my last appointment (a week ago).  IT'S GOT to be combined with water weight, since 1lb = 3200 calories EXTRA on top of the ones that I ate/burned, so it's impossible that I had ~15000 additional calories hanging on...

    But it sucks.  IT SUCKS!

    I am seeing my pot belly bloat getting bigger and bigger.  Where are all the abs that I am working out going?

  • Same, there is no way I have eaten that many more calories! I attribute it to bloat and the fact that my boobs have already gotten one size bigger so I assume they must also weigh more.

  • Me too! I traveled for work this past weekend and was standing all day and walking every where I went and I managed to gain 5 pounds. I haven't had m/s so eating hasn't been an issue, but come on! The weird thing is that one of my friends said to me today, how is it that you still look skinnier everyday. I'm baffled.
