Mucus Plug - TMI

Yesterday at my appointment I had my membranes stripped and I had a tad bit of bleeding (mostly old blood). So I just went to the bathroom and I obviously just lost the plug. It could fill up almost a tablespoon and it is quite bloody, some clearish. I assume this is from the stripping? Has this happened to anyone?

    Mine was all clear, but it is completely normal for it to have blood in it. If you're worried, though, call your doc.

    Mine was white with a brown tint on one end. I've heard they can be quite bloody though.

    When I lost my MP at 39w5d, it was completely clear. I went into labor at 40w exactly.

    From what I've read, mucus plug + a bunch of blood = bloody show, which could mean labor is coming very soon.

    I lost mine last Thursday and I also had a tsp or more of bright red blood with it. I had to wear a pad all day and continued to have a moderate amount of mucousy/bloody discharge all day. The discharge subsided by Friday, and of course...no baby yet!

    If the MP had some pink or red swirls through it, then that would be the bloody show that signifies onset of labor. If its clear or slightly yellowish, it may or may not mean anything, including the probability of it growing back. If it has brown swirls or chunks in it, then that is from the bruising caused by the internal exam, and it means nothing far as labor goes, a lot of people just lose their MPs after an exam, especially if their membranes have been stripped.
