Trying to Get Pregnant

When should I...?

Good morning ladies!

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since the middle of June.  Since then, my periods have started right around day 30/31.  Right now, I'm on day 38 and not feeling any signs that I normally get when it is about to start.  We took a pregnancy test over the weekend which came back negative.

Of course, my husband is getting antsy but I was wondering how long I should wait before taking another test and how long before I should call the doctor to make sure everything is okay?

 TIA.

  • You may have not ovulated yet.  Keep humping and test once a week until BFP or AF.  If you get to day 60 then call your doctor.

This, If you get to 60 days, call your doc.

If you don't get a BFP, you may want top try charting your temps so that you can confirm if/when you ovulate and will then know when to expect AF to start or when it is time to test.

  • Ditto others - test once a week until you get a BFP or AF, and call your doc if you get to day 60 without either.

I also agree that charting is very helpful.  Some people say it is too stressful but I think it is super easy and I would be WAY more stressed if I didn't know what was going on with my body.  My last cycle, which was my 3rd cycle off of BC, was 46 days long and anovulatory.  If I hadn't been charting, I would have been worried because I'd have been getting BFNs if I was testing.  But since I knew I hadn't ovulated, I wasn't freaking out (I was annoyed, but not freaking out).
