That was unexpected.

My Dad went to the doctor yesterday. He never goes to the doctor, you know it's a big deal if he does. His doctor sent him straight to the ER. He has a tumor on the right side of his brain. A brain tumor. Like on the TV.. I keep thinking this is all just a bad dream. I mean, really? My Dad and I are really close.. for most of my life it was just the two of us, my mother left when I was only 2. We get the MRI report and talk to a neurosurgeon today.

 Just get me through today, that's all I ask.

    I'm terribly sorry you have to go through this, especially during a pregnancy. I have an understanding of how you feel. My mom has brain cancer that unfortunately isn't shrinking or going anywhere. You will be in my thoughts and your dad in my prayers.

    I am so very sorry.  I know what it's like to have a parent suddenly have a tumor. My T&P are with you and your family.

    I'll keep you in my prayers.  Keep your head up and your hopes high.  My father is a living breathing medical mystery.  He has liver cancer that just poof went away even though he has stage four cirrhosis.  Don't give up hope!

    Thanks everyone, it's really nice to be able to get things out there. They've done some more tests and haven't found anything anywhere else, meaning whatever it is orginated right where it's at. Thats a good thing, because there isn't anything spreading arournd, but bad because it makes doing a biopsy much more difficult. Right now he is on steriods to control the swelling (that fortunatly also really help to keep his pain under control), and they won't be able to do the operation until Thursday. If they find out it's somehting nasty, they will try to get it all out right then and there, otherwise they'll go from there with a course of treatment. My uncle is a doctor in another part of the state, has assured us that the best neurosurgeons we will find are right where we are, so that helps immensly. Now we are just waiting...
