Anybody have tips or know how to get wash the cloth material inside the car seat? Its in great condition from my son, its just a little dirty from being in the garage and i need to clean it. Whats the best the way to clean this stuff?
I've washed my Britax covers in the washing machine. Just cold water, gentle cycle, with some woolite (although I'm sure plain old Tide or whatever would be fine). If there are any really bad spots, you may want to hit that with a tide pen or some Shout first. Then just be sure to HANG it to dry. Also, someone posted the other day not to machine wash the straps- just spot clean those.
The manual that came with the carseat should say how to clean it. I know some of them are not machine washable.
We have the chicco keyfit 30 and I've machine washed it (both the infant insert and the actual cover) on gentle then I hang it to dry. The straps have to be hand washed.
Check your owner's manual. If you don't have one or if it's not clear, call the manufacturer. They should give you specific instructions about how to clean the material. Not following the instructions could damage your seat and make it not function properly in a crash.
