NBR: Anyone use the Clarisonic Skin Care Brush?

Is it worth it?   I have been dying to get the Clarisonic Skin Care Brush from sephora.com because I hear it is great for your skin.  And at this last stretch, I kind of feel like I need all the help I can get feeling "pretty" the bigger I get!!!  It is sooooo expensive though...does anyone have it?  Reviews?

  • I have one.  It was free because my Mom got a new one to try at her work (cosmetic derm. office).  I do feel like my face gets "cleaner" but at the same time I don't think it does anything to improve my skin, if that makes any sense.  I personally would probably not spend the money on it.  HTH!!

  • I'm also in the boat where I don't think it was worth the $$. If you really think you want to try it, you can get the "Mia" model that is more of a travel size and half the price.

  • I think it does a great job of cleaning, but you won't see any big difference in your skin.  Lately, my face has been too sensitive to use it.  If you want to have your skin "glow" a bit more, maybe go get an organic peel.  There is a line called Eminence and it is all fruit and organic stuff.  They have a great peel- I get one every 6 weeks and my skin looks better everytime!  HTH!

There are other great exfoliant products out there that you will notice a change with.  I absolutely LOVE the Kiehl's Microdermabrasion Retexturizing Scrub.... its really gentle, fine crystals, but you will notice a different IMMEDIATELY.  After I had DD, my skin broke out like crazy and I was left with a ton of scars.  Within 3 months, the scars were gone and my skin was glowing again.  Its $42 for the tube, but the tube will last you 6 months... so that's $7 a month, which is better than you'd spend on something at the drugstore and much higher quality.  You can get a free sample at any Kiehl's counter (Nordstroms, Neimans, Saks or if they have a Kiehl's store near you, try there, too.)

  • Thanks ladies!!!    I will try the Kiehl's and go from there.  ;)
  • Just so you hear from someone who likes theirs...I have the Mia (which as a PP noted is about half the price of the full size one) and I really like it. I don't have problems with breakouts, but the texture of my skin is not great. The Mia has really evened out the texture and tone of my skin. I was able to wear much less makeup. If I get lazy and don't use it for a couple of days, I can see the texture of my skin start to return to what it used to look like, but it improves very quickly once I start using it again. The only difference between the Mia and the full size is that it doesn't have variable speeds and it's smaller (which I actually like, since the full size one is pretty dang large). I am pretty cheap, and I do think mine was worth the money.
